Startup School

Why should we build our own business? And how do we do that?

Students are set the challenge of creating a business idea and then ‘building’ a business and a minimum viable product which they can market and sell.

They will also explore the role that small businesses play in the economy and the importance of innovation in improving the lives of entrepreneurs and the communities in which they live and work.

Students must pitch their business idea through a market day at the end of the project to win customers!

Key tasks

  • Overview of entrepreneurship. Students will first explore what it means to be an entrepreneur and why they should consider it in the first place. This will involve an examination of students’ skills and the traits that entrepreneurs commonly possess
